COLLECTIVE ACT.

How much of  local action can address environmental
and social challenges?

In the heart of Burkina Faso, against crisis and uncertainty,
watch a community choose hope through community resilience.

Tiou Dou Goun – Tomorrow’s Village is an engaging documentary that follows the struggle of a group of African men and women determined to protect the environment and community life within a large protected area in Burkina Faso, a country facing political instability and security threats.

The film explores their efforts to halt the degradation of natural resources—particularly land and endangered ecosystems—by showing, in a concrete and detailed way, the development of a sustainable development project.

Through often striking images and deep immersion into the daily lives of these local actors, the documentary highlights the social, economic, and environmental challenges faced by the community. It shows how, despite difficult conditions, collective mobilization can lead to practical solutions for a more sustainable future.

The film pays tribute to the dedication of these local actors while offering a broader reflection on the importance of natural resource preservation and community engagement in times of crisis.

The original soundtrack for Tiou Dou Goun – Tomorrow’s Village was also composed by Gail Malbete
