IDENTITY
IS NOT A PLACE,
IT IS A MOVEMENT.

A film about what passes through us,
and what we carry along the way.

Transient (Working Title) is a sensitive dive into how a generation builds, deconstructs, and reconstructs its identity through art, in a world shaped by mobility, legacy, and constant circulation of images.

At the intersection of multiple trajectories, the documentary approaches creation as a space for research rather than a place of certainty. The artists from the emerging scene in Morocco who take part — photographers, dancers, graphic designers, street artists — share a common necessity: to question their position in the world through artistic gesture.

Objects in circulation, landscapes crossed, images traveling faster than bodies, all these signs become fields of exploration and reveal how culture is shaped through displacement, beyond fixed frameworks and closed identities.

The documentary weaves a fragmented cartography of contemporary youth. Practices resonate, intersect, sometimes contradict one another, yet all are drawn to the same vertigo:
How do we inhabit the world today?
How can other narratives and forms of belonging can be imagined?

More than a generational portrait, the film proposes an open space — one where doubt becomes a driving force, and meaning emerges through movement, hybridity, and experimentation. It invites us to think of identity not as a fixed inheritance, but as a material in constant transformation, shaped by displacement, encounters, and artistic gestures.
